On September 6, 2016 the Rancho Cordova City Council presented the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce’s “Explore Rancho Cordova” Welcome Program funds to run the program a second year.  Through a grant from the Measure H Community Enhancement Fund, the Explore Rancho Cordova Program is charged with welcoming new residents, businesses and their employees, and visitors to Rancho Cordova.

Some of the projects the Explore Program completed in its first year include a city map and restaurant directory, visitors guide and support for a local app designed to promote deals and showcase special events. These projects are not linear but a multi-dimensional approach, several of which are happening at the same time.

Explore also reached out and welcomed over 300 new residents per quarter in 2016. Three in-person new resident welcome receptions took place at City Hall in which over 40 business and community organizations provided information and gifts. Of those new residents who did not come out for the receptions, personal welcome packets were prepared and distributed.

Explore is proud to not only welcome people to Rancho Cordova, but to keep them engaged and encourage them to take advantage of the many great assets the city offers.

Here’s to another year of strong growth of the Explore Rancho Cordova Program!
