On September 17, 2016 The Parkway Foundation coordinated twenty sites across the Parkway and had over 1,650 volunteers and removed over 32,000 lbs. of trash. In Rancho Cordova alone we had three sites at River Bend, Rossmoor Bar/El Manto, and the Sunrise Blvd. access. Between those three sites 334 volunteers helped to remove over 7,500 lbs. of trash and debris!
Rancho Cordova is such a great community and employment hub. The Parkway Foundation looks forward to working more with such partners to not only keep the Parkway clean, but encourage recreation, outdoor education, and lead habitat restoration efforts along the stretch of the Parkway that borders the City.
